Well, it’s taken some time, but we’ve finally locked in a venue, allowing us to settle on a date. BSidesROC 2014 will be held April 5, 2014, at the historic German House in Rochester’s South Wedge.
We love the venue we’ve had for the past 3 years, but as anyone who’s attended can attest – we outgrew it. That turns out to be a good thing anyway, because the Auditorium Center is no longer available for events, it’s been turned into a church!
Fortunately, the German House allows us to have a much bigger audience, and will be generally more comfortable to sit in. It still has lots of “chill-out” space too, which we’re happy about because for us, keeping the conversation alive and the focus on interacting with other hackers is what the con is all about.
Registration will be announced soon, the CFP is already open, and volunteers & sponsors are already lining up (thanks!). We’re definitely excited about what this new year will bring, and hope too see you all soon!.
