We’re just a few weeks away from BSidesROC 2014. There are a few things we’d like to let you know about:
1. Schedule and talks have been announced
Take a look at this years schedule here. We have a break down of times of the various things happening throughout the conference. Make sure you get there right at 8am to get registered and ready for the day.
2. Keynote from David Kennedy
David Kennedy will be our keynote speaker at the beginning of the day. He is the CEO of TrustedSec, an organizer of DerbyCon, and all-around knowledgeable guy in the world in information security. We’re excited to give him an hour slot to kick off the morning.
3. Privacy, OPSEC, Security Track
We’ll be doing a 3 part series on personal privacy and OPSEC as part of the Privacy Workshop Track. This is a hands-on (laptop suggested) learning opportunity for those interested in secure communications, anonymity networks, and OPSEC measures to secure your personal Linux box.
4. Crypto Challenge!
We have another crypto challenge from none other than the crypto-puzzle master, David DarthNull Schuetz. The game is designed to be a fun challenge for any type of crypto nerds. I would suggest you start following him on Twitter… NOW!
5. GPG, Beer, and New Friends
At the end of the day, we will be doing a cryptoparty and beer event. The details are simple. Grab your GPG key fingerprint, grab a beer from the bar, and make a new friend to join your web of trust. You can find out more details over here.
